New Year, New Ideas!

First I'd like to say...

It's finally 2014 and while I'm still not sure what is happening with Tori Delancey Photography... I am sure that I need to get back to blogging on here.

It's been a very hectic holiday season that isn't exactly over yet for my family. The in-laws are coming to visit this weekend, so the kids can see their Nana & Mr.Turtle (my husband's step-dad).

I've wanted to do a Project 365, but since I can't post images of my older children online I feel that seeing my youngest child everyday for an entire year would get very boring for my readers.

So I was thinking about doing a weekly blog with a photo or series of photos with my settings and explaining why or how I chose those settings and how I set it up. So that may be something to do this year... A Project 52!

I've also decided I wanted to get back on Youtube, making videos about things I love.
Photography is one of my biggest passions, but I'm really interested in cinematography these days. I want to make informational videos for people who want to create good YouTube content. For example... I see so many girls on YouTube doing beauty videos but their camera quality, lighting, and audio quality sucks. I've been there... So I want to help others get to where they want to be. All you need are the right tools and a little bit of know-how and you're good to go.

Now that we're done spending money on Christmas gifts, I can start putting money aside for a new camera lens. I'm either going with the 40mm (Pancake lens) or the 35mm lens. I need something for tight spaces for my video until I can afford a cine lens!

Well I have a few things to do today now that our power has been back on for the last hour or so. Must charge cameras, bake myself an angel food cake, and possibly make myself another cup of coffee since I didn't sleep past 2:30am when the power went out.

Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and a great start to their new year!

Tori D.
