Making money with photography

I was originally going to put this into a small photography book that I was working on before I had my littlest love in April. But I have decided to put it on my blog instead. It's hard to find quality information regarding making money with photography for free. So I'm going to give you some small tidbits of information of how to make money with photography. These are ideas outside of doing sessions.

#1
BLOG!
Yes, I just said blog. If you have a blog, you should have adsense. Granted, unless your website/blog is getting 100K views daily, you won't make a whole lot. But it will still give you a little extra income. With my 3 blogs, I make around $10 a month.

#2
 Make YouTube videos
You're probably wondering how this is related to photography. Well stay with me for just a minute... You can create follow along editing videos, you can review photography related products, you can even "teach" photography with the help of YouTube.

#3
  Write Books/Tutorials/Product Reviews
If you have better grammar and writing skills than I do or just more time to dedicate to writing books, than go for it. You can write a book about Wedding Photography (my least favorite type of photography because of BrideZilla's), Posing (families, couples, seniors, children, etc). You could even write a book on Exposure, Composition, etc. How about product review? Ever gone looking for an easy to understand product review for something photography related, but couldn't find it. Well then, create it!

   Stock Photography Sites
This is something that may not work for everyone. I personally have never done it. But that's because I really don't think it will make me a whole lot of money. But it may be worth a try later on. Once I have some wildlife photographs I may give it a try.

#5
   Editing Photos
If you love editing photos, then offer your services to others. You can charge by the hour, by the photograph, or however you wish to charge. Some photographers don't want to waste time editing photos, they'd rather be out shooting. So help them and make money at the same time. It's a win-win, because it allows them to be doing what they love and you doing what you love.

#6
  Mentor
Offer hands on mentoring programs/sessions, online mentoring programs/sessions, and such.
This can make you a killing, if you can get your name out there.

#7
  Sell your design skills
Photographers want One of a Kind marketing materials, templates, logos, watermarks, etc. Use this to your advantage. If you are advanced in your design skills, then start creating logos and sell them on Etsy.

#8
  Sell Prints & Canvases online
Do you do macro photography of bugs, plants/flowers, etc? Well print a specific # of prints, in varying sizes, sign them and sell them on Etsy.

Well that's what I've got so far.
If I come up with anything else, I'll just add it to this post.

Thanks for reading!
